The stylistic practice of tango in the typical orchestra

A project dedicated to the stylistic interpretation of the tango, aimed at studying a specific repertoire for string orchestra that will analyze and study the different styles of execution, interpretation and orchestration of the Tango repertoire. The workshop is aimed at creating a typical orchestra and studying some pieces from the repertoire specifically dedicated to this formation. To this end, an intense three days will be provided, which will be divided into both sectional and overall lessons. The first two days will focus on the study of some pieces from the repertoire for typical orchestra, also through the study and comparison of the various most representative composers of this musical genre. On the third day there will be general rehearsals and a final concert open to the public. In order to be able to carry out the initiative, the department of stringed instruments will be involved.
